Eleanor Hosey

Eleanor started playing basketball at the age of 8, joining Dublin Raiders at age 12. Over the years, Eleanor has won two division two leagues at underage level with Raiders as well as winning a school league with St. Joseph of Cluny in 2019. Playing basketball has been a huge part of her life and being part of Raider's has not only encouraged her to improve and progress as a player but also helped developed her skills in coaching.

As part of the Bronze Gaisce Award, Eleanor volunteered to coach Raiders under 11's where she believes her love for coaching began.  Raiders has been a great, enjoyable experience where she has learned a lot about the importance of playing sports, especially for little kids. Eleanor believes Dublin Raiders success is down to providing a fun, happy and inclusive environment for the many underage players, adult players and coaches.
