InArts Vītols

From Saldus Latvia, InArts is who he is today because of a lot of the things he lived and experienced while growing up there.

Raised in the countryside as a child, there couldn’t be more reasons to start playing sports at a young age! InArts was introduced to different sports (athletics, BMX, swimming, volleyball, dancing, sambo etc.) before seriously focusing on basketball at age 15. He played in the school club, gradually was involved in the city league, then moved to Riga where he played professionally in the top league for several years until he was injured.

He moved to Ireland in 2006 with the perspective to learn English and pursue his passion for basketball. He played in various Irish teams/divisions and won different titles (Dublin league, national cup and national league). Since he has found purpose in improving young people’s lives by helping them, through basketball, learn the value of hard work, discipline, commitment, patience and determination in achieving success but most importantly build self-confidence and self-worth.
