Sam McEntee

Sam began volunteering coaching basketball with Lakers Meeting Special Needs Club. He spent 3 years helping coach in their junior (6-12) section teaching the basic skills of basketball. Sam was eager to improve his skills and knowledge of the game, deciding to join the Dublin Raiders Academy in 2017 as a player for two years.

Sam took a short break after finishing in the academy, before getting involved again helping out at Dublin Raiders Summer Camp. Following this Sam stepped up as assistant coach with the Club’s U12 Boys team in order to gain his Bronze Gaisce Award, as well as coaching in the clubs Junior and Senior Academy. With a little extra time on his hands, Sam decided to return playing on the clubs U17s Boys team and will look forward to continue playing in the club in the future.
